Yesterday we had a school excursion to Le Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon), which only five students took part and i happened to be one of them. If you know me, then you know that i do not like these kind of trips with a bunch of people, but i enjoyed myself. There is always a first time. Of course i took a bunch of photos, so you can enjoy them below.
The guide, a substitute teacher at the school, gave up information in French, but luckily she translated some of it for us beginners. Interesting fact about Le Vieux Lyon, at one time, in the 60’s the mayor wanted to tear the whole area down, but an association of the people saved it. It became part of the World Heritage of Unesco in 1998.

What a wonderful example of citizen involvement! Hooray that they saved this gorgeous area – can’t wait to see it with you!
Love,
