This past Sunday i was able to visit this beautiful area around the couvent Sainte-Marie de La Tourette, outside of Lyon. It is a very peaceful place to either walk around or sit and reflect on life.
Our new roommate from Texas learnt how to cut the cheese in France. Believe it or not, there are some cheeses that you cut in particular manner, especially the bleu cheese. i like that there is a way to do certain things in life, especially when it come to eating in France. We start with an apéritif, then the main course, after it we eat some cheese and finally we eat dessert, which is my favourite part of the meal. It is not a strict regime because sometimes we skip the dessert or we might start the meal with just a salad, but either way there is an order to things.
i have 20 days left in Lyon and about two months left in Europe. It appears that i will first go to Germany, England and Hungary.
