On my last day in Reading i decided to visit a park. On the map i noticed on named Prospect Park, so i thought that sounded like a winner. i was wrong. It is a really large park, really spread out, but there is nothing to do. It was so hot that i wanted to sit on a bench in the shade to read my book, but all the benches were randomly place, so they did not receive shade. Definitely named wrongly because it lacked Prospects.
After the park, i decided to take some photos of the houses in Reading. i like how some look so unusual and others are lined up in a row like someone planted them as seeds on a cotton farm.

If you are in England, then i recommend that you try their cuisine. i heard that it was horrible, but i did not find it to be true. i tried their meat pies and it reminded of the American Pot Pies. Beware of the lead that may be in the ones which are made from game.
My extremely generous friends took me out for a beer and feed me well. Thank you Arpi and Orsi for sharing your home with me.
When i first saw this sign, i thought it meant that their was a toilet inside, but it was missing the “i”. To Let means to For Rent.
more to come…
