Yesterday, my sister took me to the state capital buildings, yes with an “s” because Baton Rouge has a new one and an old one. The new one was built in the 1930’s by Huey P. Long the governor at the time and it would be the building in which he was shot in and eventually died. It is the tallest state capital in the U.S.A. and designated a National Historic Landmark.
The old state capital was built in 1847 and looks like a castle. It is now used for weddings and has a ghost living there, but i do not think it is a National Historic Landmark.

We ate lunch at Restaurant IPO and it was incredible, except that they have a hamburger for $55.
Deviled Eggs with Fried Oyster and Pork Belly

Overall Louisiana beer fails to impress me.
