1001 Albums #42

In my perfect world, The Beatles would not be have another album in the 1001 Albums… listing that I am going through. But I have never lived in a decent world. A Hard Day’s Night is the third album of the band formed in Liverpool, England in 1960.

Good news! I have found one song called “Things We Said Today” that I kind of like. Of course, it is a Paul McCartney penned song. I have mentioned in the previous album’s blog post that I like his voice.

I met one of The Beatles. it was Ringo Starr. He stayed in the Sorrento Hotel where I worked. He had a very strict diet and he wanted special attention to his food. I had no idea who he was until someone told me. I was not really impressed. I think if I had met Audrey Hepburn I would be more impressed, especially since she is dead.

There is not much to say about this album. It basically continues where the last album left off. It has a bit of a more mature sound, but I still do not like all the harmonies and the screaming songs. Compared to their other albums it is okay, but only because of the one track I like by McCartney. I would never buy it or listen to it again, except maybe that one song I will revisit. 6/10
