John Barleycorn Must Die is one of those weird album titles that makes me wonder what was the band Traffic thinking of when they created it. This band consists of members who have had successful careers later, such as Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi. This is their fourth album and second on the list. The previous one I gave a 4/10. I do not have confidence in this being any better.
I can keep this review short. This is probably a step above their album Traffic, but not much. It is progressive rock and jazz fusion mixed with some folk sounds. I did not connect to any of the songs. It is not a horrible album, but I found it boring for me. I was grateful that it was not extremely long. 5/10.
