Screaming Trees were on a commercial rise in the beginning of the 90s with their album Sweet Oblivion, but they waited too long for their 1996 follow up album Dust. I vaguely remember the former, but I do not remember the latter at all. Out of sight is out of mind when it comes to virtual unknown bands.
I have never heard this album at all, but I did enjoy it. I like that the band incorporated psychedelic, punk, folk and blues into this album. I like “Halo of Ashes“, “All I Know”, “Dying Days”, “Dime Western“, and “Make My Mind”. Actually, all the songs are pretty good even the ones I did not save.
Overall, I recommend it. I wish I had heard it sooner than today. I wonder how did I miss it in 1996. Luckily, today we have more opportunities to hear new music. I will revisit this one again. 9/10.
