#961 The Hives – Your New Favourite Band

    I am not sure why Your New Favourite Band from The Hives is in the list of 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. It appears to be a sort of collection of songs from their previous albums. The Swedish rock band has been around since 1989.

    My favourite songs are “Hate to Say I Told You So“, “Mad Man”, and “The Hives Are Law, You Are Crime”.

    Overall, I like the album. It is extremely short at less than 30 minutes, but that seems typical for a garage rock band. I found the album to be quite jerky and a bit too much the same. I think I prefer their later albums over this collection of songs. 7/10.
